There may not be a more reclusive star in the sport of bodybuilding than Evan Centopani. Since he first burst onto the scene back in 2006 when he stepped in from virtually out of nowhere to take the Super Heavyweight and the Overall titles at the Junior Nationals, Centopani has been dubbed as one of the game’s truly special talents.
Coming off of a 2014 contest season that only saw him take the stage twice – at the Arnold Classic and the Australia Pro show- Centopani looks poised to recapture some of the magic he had just a few years ago when he won the Tampa Pro and broke into the top 8 at the Olympia for the first time in his career.
Earlier in the week Centopani released a new progress picture via Instagram that shows off the grainy, hard, gnarly muscle that made him into one of the most popular athletes in the sport. And with just eight weeks to go until he makes his 2015 debut at the Arnold Classic, it looks like Evan is right on track to bring his A-game into Columbus.
Evan came in 5th at last year’s contest behind Dennis Wolf, Shawn Rhoden, Cedric McMillan, and Victor Martinez, but with three of the top four competitors in last year’s show deciding to forgo the contest, it means that the door is wide open for Evan to step in and nab what could be a career defining victory.
