Just a few weeks removed from delivering what was easily the best performance of his pro career thus far at the Omaha Pro show, it looks like Darron Glenn is armed and ready to wage war on the 212 division at this weekend’s Chicago Pro, Wings of Strength.
After struggling mightily with his consistency throughout 2014, Glenn linked up with Coach Vic Trignali during the offseason, and together the two have apparently found a winning formula that has the former NPC USA champion looking more dangerous than we’ve ever seen him before.
Traditionally the Chicago Pro has been able to draw in some of the sport’s top talent, and last year’s 212 class was no exception; with three future Olympians in Charles Dixon, Hidetada Yamagishi, and Tricky Jackson occupying the top spots. However, this isn’t 2014, and certainly isn’t a version of Hollywood Glenn that we’ve ever seen before.
At the moment Glenn is looking bigger, fuller, and better conditioned than he has at any point during his pro career. With his combination of shape, muscle, and new found razor sharp conditioning, he could very well surprise everyone in attendance by delivering a deadly blow to the rest of his fellow competitors, and locking up his first career win in the process.
