We’ve heard quite a bit of buzz surrounding some of the favorites heading into this year’s Arnold Classic, but there’s been surprisingly little chatter about the contests most decorated athlete, former Arnold Classic winner and 2008 Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson.
It was just two years ago that Dexter marched into Columbus and made short work of the competition on his way to earning a record setting 4th title on the Arnold stage. And now, at 45 years old, The Blade is looking as sharp as ever and is heading back to very familiar territory to prove to the bodybuilding world once again that he’s still one of the premier athletes in the sport.
This time around it appears that Dexter and teamed up with The Pro Maker, George Farrah, as he attempts to recapture the magic that’s turned him into one of the best athletes to ever take a bodybuilding stage.
Last season The Blade managed to keep a relatively low profile up until the Olympia, where he shocked everyone with a vintage Dexter look – one that was good enough to earn him a 5th place finish. After making a few of the rounds on the European tour, The Blade has decided to forgo the long offseason that he took a year ago, and with just about five weeks to go, looks ready to make some serious noise on the International stage.
Just more evidnece why Dexter was deserving of our 2014 Post Season Trophy, The Dexter Award – For the guy who is silently killing the competition.
