It looks like Ken Jackson, under the tutelage of John Meadows might make some major noise this upcoming year.
Jackson opened up some eyes in the bodybuilding world back in 2008 at the NPC Junior Nationals – a show that happened to be loaded with big names along the lines of Trey Brewer, Jeff Long, Mike Liberatore, Dan Decker, Big Sean Allen, Todd Jewel, and Brian Yersky to name a few – to win the Light Heavyweight class with ease. And after kicking around the top of the National scene for a few years, Jackson finally snagged his pro card at the 2011 North American Championships by winning the Heavyweight class.
After taking two years off to add some size, Jackson made an unspectacular pro debut back at the 2013 Toronto Pro show. But since then, in his other three stage appearances, Jackson has progressively improved, highlighted by last year’s 10th place finish at the Tampa Pro.
Now, after another solid offseason under the wizardry of Meadows, Jackson appears to be transforming into an outright monster, tipping the scales at over 270 pounds. Assuming the upward trend continues, it’s very possible that we see a much improved Ken Jackson come in this year and crack the top five on a pro stage for the first time in his career.
